I value empowerment and validation and aim to use a culturally aware approach that provides a safe environment to explore and understand emotions and patterns of behavior. My clinical work is not only influenced by empirical research, but also by my experiences as a first-generation, Black/Caribbean-American woman.
I bring warmth, genuineness, empathy, sincerity and humor to my clinical interactions. I believe we benefit from a welcoming place of acceptance and non-judgment, and I strive to provide this for all clients. I value all aspects of identity and work to ensure a safe and multiculturally competent space.

I received my doctorate in Counseling Psychology from the University of Missouri-Columbia (MIZZOU). My research and collaborations have been published in the Handbook of Counseling Psychology and several psychological journals, including the Journal of Black Psychology.
